Schoolbell Privacy Policy

Effective October 4, 2026

Schoolbell is an app that divides your day into periods and rings a gentle bell as each one begins. It is made by Narrowcast Media LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the app keeps and where.

What stays on your phone

Everything you enter. Your activities, your day's schedule, and your settings are kept on your phone. Schoolbell has no account, and we receive nothing you enter.

Bells and notifications. Schoolbell uses notifications to ring bells. On Android it also uses exact alarms and can show the current period in your notification shade.

Spoken names. When you turn on "Speak names aloud", Schoolbell reads activity names with the speech engine on your phone. On iPhone it records each name into a sound file kept on your phone, so bells can speak while the app is closed.

Widget. On iPhone, the Schoolbell widget reads your day's periods from storage the app shares with it on your phone. Nothing leaves your phone.

What leaves your phone

Nothing. Schoolbell sends no data to us or to anyone else. It serves no ads and runs no analytics.

If your phone backs up to Google on Android or to iCloud on iPhone, that backup may include Schoolbell's data, under your own account's terms.

Your choices

You can edit or remove any activity in the app. Uninstalling Schoolbell deletes everything it kept on your phone.

Children

Schoolbell collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
